My Concord, California Adventure!
Welcome to Concord!
Flying out of Bellingham with Allegiant was an awesome option for a cheaper flight! Do you see the 3rd plane to the left? We all had to run through the rain to board that plane... you think they would have planned it better!!
I think this was part of the Napa Valley on our flight in to Oakland
To get to Concord I had to take a bus from the Airport to the train station... this was the creepy train transfer platform I had to hang out at in Oakland! Totally old school brick stairwells!
Auntie Holly & Aaron's Adventure!
Katie let me baby sit Aaron while she and Ian went off to a football game in the city! Aaron was such a good boy... just a tiny little whimper and 1 tear (look close you can see it!) and then he was good to go! Equipped with a GPS, we drove to the mall and wandered around, I bought him a little outfit at Gymboree and then we went for a drive through Martinez.
Back at the house, Aaron was excited to get his hands on the car keys!
We did some laundry... well, he played, I folded, to help out mommy!
A Tour of Palms
A Tour of Palms
Another palm! They came in all shapes and sizes... so fun!
A prickly pear cactus, it was so neat how it looks like it has little fingers...
This is an Oregon Post Cactus... over 60 years old, the woman who lived there was way to happy to tell us all about it! We never did have a chance to come back and see it bloom unfortunately!
San Francisco - Alcatraz Sightseeing!
Alcatraz Island National Park (view from the boat)
Alcatraz
Toiletries for inmates... towels, shaving kits, etc...
Alcatraz
Aaron going for a little crawl...
Check out the view of San Francisco... just awesome!
Alcatraz
A view of Alcatraz from the outside...
You can see a bit of the Golden Gate Bridge behind us in these pictures!! Look closely!
Alcatraz
We all had a good time at Alcatraz... it was really neat to see a place that we have all seen in the movies! (this wall of the prison made a good back drop for photos... it was funny, I thought the entire place would be amazing for a wedding photoshoot!!)
