Limbert Mountain Farm Tour

Mom arranged for and took the family to Limbert Mountain Farm in Agassiz to learn about herbs. It was a really cool hands on tour. We got to touch, smell and taste fresh herbs. After our tour, we had lunch at the Bistro where all the food was made with the great herbs we had just tried... highly recommended!!!

Chocolate Mint

We were special and didn't have to follow this rule!

I can't remember what Mint this was, but Stephanie kept calling it the Mohito Mint!

The girls checking out Oregano

Mom smelling one of the Lemon Herbs...

Discussing Lavendar

Nadia joined us on the tour, her Girl Guide group is going to be touring this farm later this summer!

The farms location is quite beautiful

It was a great tour, I am sure all of us are excited to start trying new ideas for cooking, baking and teas!! Thanks again Mom!

When can we eat?!

Well... still quite a long time before I can start eating anything I am growing, but its coming along!

I have Green Onions and Dill that look like little sprouts... my lettuce wasn't growing so I replanted another variety yesterday. I think I have a few Cauliflower coming up but need to research online to make sure I am growing cauliflower and not weeds!

Who Woulda thought... Me? Gardening?

Our garden around the patio is looking great thanks to the many awesome donations by Mom of leafy green hostas and other flowers and plants that I have no clue what they are... I have put in a couple of my own ideas... dug out some ferns and planted them... and found an awesome burgundy Calla Lily that I just had to have! The poor palm tree is very sick, I don't think its going to revive... I would dig it out but it belongs to the landlord and the deck was built around it... maybe its time for a new center piece???

A Bridge Walk

I kept wanting to check out the new bridge to see what it would be like for a new running location so I took a walk! It is really quite nice up there if you dont mind the noise and wind! (Can you believe the awesome pictures my cell phone takes?)

Gone Country... Farming??

Brian, Tag and I posed for the photo booth I was working at today for our picnic and auction! No, the pink plaid shirt isn't mine, but I thought it was fun!

A Candy Buffet!

I was recently at a work event where there was a candy buffet on a much larger scale... I couldn't help myself, it seemed like such a cool idea for the kids! We had a girls night tonight at my place with Mom, Julie, Cali and Lilah. We BBQed hot dogs for dinner and ate on the patio.

A Secret Garden

After our dinner, we all went for a walk with the dog. I brought everyone to a special little hidden garden and duck pond... Mom discovered a whole other side to it that I didn't know existed and it was really quite amazing. Lots of flowers, trails, ponds, fountains, etc.
