Happy 37th Birthday Brian!

Happy 37th Birthday Brian! It was nice to finally celebrate Brian's birthday as the last few years were busy on his birthday (last year we moved to Peachland and the year before he was working on call). Since we already had the party with Elanne on Friday night we had an easy day... lunch at 5 Guys Burgers and Fries and then shopped around for camping supplies for the honeymoon... can you believe we spent 45 min at Canadian Tire trying out chairs? We just set up in the hockey section and tried every chair they had... why not right?

The Birthday Party!

Brian's mom came out for a visit to see our new house yesterday and being that it was her birthday a week ago and Brian's birthday tomorrow... birthday party! We headed down to the beach and all had snitzels at the German restaurant (so good!). Then came back to the house for a fire, reflexology and some ice cream cake! It was a really fun evening!

Biggest Leather Jacket Ever!

Where did we move to??? Geez the bugs around here... last night we had the door open in the kitchen and I looked at the wall and saw the biggest leather jacket I have ever seen! Even Elanne agreed with me, biggest one she had ever seen too... I had to put my hand next to it to put this in perspective, normally I would say they are about a loonie or twoonie size... wow! Needless to say, I had to catch it and put it outside (needed to use a juice jug to do so!)

I just wanted them... that's all!

I had another day of no work (wasn't needed at work)... nice that it's the Friday before a long weekend so it makes my weekend extra long! I have been wanting new lounge cushions for Mom's old lounge chairs that she gave to Brian and I probably a couple years ago at our place in Langley (which was way too small for them), but, there was a never a place for them to go and it always rained. Now, with the size of our deck, lack of rain in the okanagan and with the long weekend about to hit with temps going up to 35 degrees, I couldn't stop myself! I had to pick up a few groceries anyhow before Brian's mom arrives for the night so why not go to Can. Tire and get some new cushions? Sooooo worth it... haha

Please can we have it?

I was finishing up my little entertainment bags for the kids at the wedding and was packing away a little stuffed puppy for baby Ivan... both Tag and Kona took particular interest in this little guy... let's see if it makes it to the wedding! haha

My Stagette!

Julie threw me an awesome Stagette! We had the perfect group and a mobile spa came to give us all pedicures and manicures while we drank wine and ate appies on the deck. Later we had a fire. It was really a great time, I can't say enough about it... got lots of pictures too (thanks Julie!!!)

Good friends help their friends move!

I came out early before my stagette to help Nadia move from Mission into here storage unit before she moves in with another friend in Abby. We started early and worked hard... this is lunch in the storage unit! I had to take off to do some wedding stuff at 1:30 but hey, I started at 8am and even brought breakfast!!!

Wedding Odds n' Ends

This weekend I spent getting as much wedding prep done as possible. This coming weekend is my last trip out to Abby before the wedding in July. I finished up all my signs and seating charts... shopped for napkins, etc. and decided I should take care of all the beverages this weekend also. The less I have to do before the wedding, the better! I did have to laugh though when I used a shopping cart in the liquor store for all the beer... first time I have done that! When I got home with my haul, Brian told me I didn't get enough so I had to go back and get more!

Guests of the furry kind...

Brian and I got to dog sit for Mom and Elliott when they were going to a party in Penticton a couple weeks ago. Pictures below of our furry guests! We have had alot of guests lately! Dad and Jeanie were able to come out and they brought my new desk... so happy about that! Nadia was able to come out last week too and help me with a bit of wedding stuff. Enjoy a few pictures below! I haven't been taking as much as I should lately but its been soooo busy!

My Wedding Favor Cookies

15 hours of work.... 76 unique cookies... done! Yes, I am crazy... I know this, but its such a neat thing to put on the tables for my own wedding! And yes, it is a little early, but I have discovered I have a lack of time with being back at work again and sugar cookies freeze very well!
