Brian's new BBQ

So here is the new BBQ after assembly (see pictures a blog or so below of Brian putting it together!). Brian made us some awesome BBQed chicken tonight... we will have to have a BBQ soon and have everyone out to see the new place!

Happy Birthday Dad, Lilah and Katie!

Happy Birthday to Dad and Lilah on the 3oth and Katie tomorrow! I hope everyone had fun at the Birthday BBQ dad put on! I enjoyed playing with my nieces in the pool Dad provided and had alot of fun with baby Aaron who is now smiling and talking like crazy! Hope everyone enjoyed their cupcakes!

Busy Week

Oh its been a busy week.... Last weekend I came out to abbotsford for a break before the big move to Langley with Brian. Cali wanted to sit in my car... yes, those are my keys in her hands! Yikes!

So on Sunday I packed and packed and packed. Monday morning Brian's brother John came out to help him move everything into the truck and into the new suite in Langley. I stayed behind and cleaned away... I think it looks like new still!! We are officially living in Langley now and completely happy with our new basement suite. Once we are unpacked completely I will put up some pics!!

Brian sold his old Golf tonight and decided to purchase us a house warming gift, a new BBQ... he is still up putting it together right now!

This has been the busiest week I can think of in a long time... the move, its soooo busy at work, commuting, unpacking, school work, cupcakes for the party tomorrow... I can't wait to sleep in tomorrow morning :)

Payroll Fundamentals 2 Mid-Term...

Ok, so I thought I wasn't ready for my mid term... 92% later, I guess I was! Half way through the course! Almost certified! Yippie!!

We got all the kids together yesterday at Aaron and Stephanie's for some pictures. Very, very challenging to take pictures of so many little ones! We didnt do any group pictures, I think that will happen when they get older. Anyhow, these are a little sneak peek as I don't have time to do any retouching with such a busy week ahead!

Hiking at Lynn Canyon Park

Brian and I went on a 3 hour hike at Lynn Canyon Park in North Vancouver. This was definately a challenging trail, lots of ups and downs... some parts of the trail were along side cliffs, some parts of the trail were just tree roots, there was a suspension bridge (which I ran across because it was scary as heck). I wonder where we will go next weekend?!

Mother's Day Cupcakes

I made cupcakes for the mommies I was seeing over a few days... Brian's mom, my mom, Julie and Katie... and I passed some out to mommies at my work! I was very happy to see Brian want to try and ice some cupcakes (he ended up doing all the ones for his mom). Hope everyone likes them!

Visiting Family on the Island!

We had a really fun visit on the island today... thanks to Katie and Ian for putting on such a nice lunch!

Capilano River Hike

Brian and I went on our first hike of the season today at the Capilano River in North Vancouver. It was a really great day for it... at first we thought we were going to get rained on but then the sun came out. Even though it was cold, we warmed up quickly hiking up the mountains. We did 2 hours to break into it... hopefully by the end of the summer we will do an 8 hour! Whats with all the crazy signs in bathrooms? I remember the "Do Not Drink" sign above the toilet at the toll booth bathroom on the Coquihalla, but this is a new one... "Don't Squat!!"

Ok! I swear, this has to be all the set up for filming of the 2nd Twilight movie. There was pullys and ropes all though the trees, harnesses for lighting, etc. Brian thinks I'm crazy, it could be anything.... but I bet its Twilight! I know they have been filming in the Vancouver area in the last few months! Besides, vampires like to climb trees and fly inbetween them right??

Saturday Visiting

I made a run out to Abbotsford to do some visiting today... Had to go see Tag of course! Visited with Mom and Elliott as well... picked through funiture in the basement that Brian and are going to take with us to the new basement suite... lots of fun!
On my visit with Julie and Cali, they showed me their fun new playset in the back yard! Cali is a pro at that slide!

So Busy...

So we are in the middle of madness at GW right now... I am working lots of over time and felt guilty for leaving after my 8 hours was up today. The paperwork is endless. This is so totally the worst time to be taking my last Payroll course... but I guess thats the way it goes sometimes! The other day I stood up from my desk and this is how it looks! You cant even see my keyboard! Haha....

My Oakley's!!!!!

So I have been looking at Oakley Liv Sunglasses for months and months and months now. Finally Brian and I went to the Sunglasses Hut where I tried them on and hated them... but right next to them and very similar were the Oakley Breathless! Just awesome, but, $225 plus tax! Ouch... I searched Ebay and Craig's List and ended up winning them on Ebay for less than half the price! Yippie... they arrived 2 days ago in the mail and I couldnt be happier with my purchase!

1 Year Anniversary (at my job!)

So on April 20th I was joking to my co-workers about my 1 year anniversary with the company on April 21st. "I want chocolate cake, gifts..." I was totally joking. The next morning Amber shows up with some home made "Dirt & Worms" treats just for my anniversary! Haha... very fitting!

Happy Birthday's!!

April 24 - Happy Birthday to Elliott! I don't know how old... but he is the first person I have ever seen not show up to his own birthday dinner! Haha... Brian, Mom, Elanne and myself had a good time! Hope you are feeling better and enjoyed the left overs Elliott!

April 26 - Happy Birthday to my brother Aaron! 27... wow, its hard to believe, seems like just yesterday you were chasing us at the cabin with Tomato Horn Worms!

April 29 - Happy Birthday in memory of Grandma who would have been 79... still hard to believe she is no longer with us... I thought she would be around forever

April 30 - Happy Birthday to Kindra! 31 years old today!!

Kiddie Park

I was invited to join Julie, Cali, Stephanie, Lilah and Declan at the park on Saturday afternoon... wow do those kids have energy!! (well, except Declan... sleepy little guy)

Anxiously Awaiting June 1st!

Well... it is 95% official that we have our new 2 bedroom suite in Langley! Yes, we are moving.... it has been almost 1 year now since we moved to Coquitlam and we have decided we are just not happy here. Both of us have always wanted to be in Langley so we decided the commute, which isnt that far, is worth it... here is a sneak peek at our new suite (the house is still under renovation which is why it looks kinda cluttered/messy)

This is the entrance to our patio from our master bedroom. There is hardwood flooring, a big closet with a light in it and lots of natural light! This is the living room with fireplace and window that faces the street.

We have a rather large laundry room with closets and cupboards... I can not wait to use the old top load washer (after a year with a half sized front load stacking washer/dryer I feel like I am doing laundry all the time)

This is the kitchen... yes its small but have you see our current one? Not much different... I will miss having a garburator but otherwise this little kitchen is just perfect (notice the dishwasher?!) I have a trolley cart I am going to put in the middle there as an island for extra storage and counter space.

Bathroom has lots of counter space, new tile floors, great water pressure... a huge closet... we are looking forward to the more spacious bathroom for sure!

Well, thats the mini tour... once we move in, I will put up more pictures!! (and of course have people over)
