Our 2nd run this weekend, Nadia and I did the 6km Pumpkin Fun Run... it was soooooo cold and foggy when we arrived at 8:30am. The race started right at 9am and we both did awesome. We had no idea it was a very 'hilly' 6km.... I maintained a 8 min/1 km pace which I was pleased with. At the end of my run, Dad, Jeanie, Mom, Julie, Greg and Cali were waiting there cheering me on. It was pretty cool!

Pumpkin Patch
Everyone who could showed up at the end of my run and just after so we could all spend some time at the pumpkin patch. I have to admit, I was extremely tired after my run and had no ambition to take pictures. Mom had Elliott's camera and I am sure has taken some really fun shots!

Running and Dog house Renos
I got up bright and early this morning to join Nadia and the school she teaches at in a 5km run in PoCo. I have to say, it was pretty cool that we came in pretty close to first and I don't care that it was against a bunch of kids! Haha... Anyhow, it was alot of fun to see all the kids out there doing their best. Towards the end, the kids that were in front of us would scream and start running even faster for fear "Ms. Lee" would catch up or pass them! (pretty funny)
Since it was so nice out today, I headed to home depot after the run and picked out some green paint so I could give Tag's dog house a bit of a make over. Brian still needs to finish the roof that's why the tarp is still there, but otherwise it's looking pretty good! That dog house was in pretty rough shape but I think it will hold up for a few more years now!

Sneaky dog... He was doing his normal sun bathing out on the deck and only came to say hi to me 2 times while I was painting which I promptly kicked him out of his kennel, so I have no idea when he sniffed the house and got paint on his nose!! He wasn't too impressed with me when I tried to rub it off... which, it won't come off... ugh... haha

Have I said I love Halloween?
Ok... I have been working on these guys for 4 hours now... two batches of sugar cookies... rolled em out... cut them up... baked them... and outlined them... Ahhh... I have been waiting so long to start these!!! More work to be done, they are going to be super cool and I can't wait to give them to all the kids!
Another Thanksgiving Dinner and meeting baby Scarlett
Brian and I went to his brother's place for a thanksgiving dinner Monday night... We had a delicious glazed ham and a french canadien dish called a Tortier (basically a meat pie). As always, John made a delicious meal.
Here is Brian with his first little niece Scarlett. She is soooo tiny and it was pretty neat to see that Brian has gotten more comfortable with holding these little ones. (I can't wait to see Olivia now!!)

Thanksgiving BBQ and Fire Pit
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner BBQ and Fire Pit at Dad and Jeanie's tonight. Everyone who was able to come was there... even Elliott came for dinner which was nice considering Mom is still in California with Katie, Ian and family!
Brian's Project...
In August, Brian bought all the materials and started the repair of Tag's Dog house. The roof was rotting and falling apart, but the base is still good. Anyhow, after some initial cutting of wood, the project was forgotten... until yesterday! Brian got to work and got it almost done!
(Almost done as he ran out of wood)
Tag being his usual helpful self. (why does he always have to sit on what you are doing outside?!)(Almost done as he ran out of wood)
So here is the almost finished Dog house... Brian did an awesome job, we just need 3 more pieces of cedar to finish the roof. I am planning on painting the house (not the roof) so the new and older parts match...
Rainy Day... Shopping & Cupcakes
Julie and Cali came out to go shopping with me at the new Walmart Supercentre in White Rock yesterday. Cali had a meltdown in the store, but perked up again at Lunch just in time to shop the strip malls and go for a good run to the car in the rain... here are some pictures and a little video clip of Cali enjoying her cupcake from "Cupcakes".
Have you ever seen so much cupcake every where before? Haha... oops...Saturday, 2 October 2010
Happy Birthday Car Shopping
Part of the birthday festivities today included shopping for a new vehicle for Mom. She started out not knowing what she wanted, and ended up liking the Escape... Mom got to test drive this 2006 model and got a taste for leather interiors! Nothing purchased yet, mom really stressed she was just looking today!
Happy Birthday Mom!

Congratulations John & Stefanie!
John and Stefanie had a little baby girl yesterday around lunch time! There isn't a name yet, but I will let you know once there is... I am sure Jeremy and Jack are very excited about the arrival of their little sister.

The Trick-Or-Treat Project
I am sure no one is surprised that I was super excited to make the October craft project... "The Trick-Or-Treat Project"!! It went out in the mail today so the kids will be receiving it most likely next week. You can do this one when ever you like as it is a little bit early yet, but still super fun. For the little ones, all they have to do is put the characters where ever they want on the haunted house scene... For Lilah, she gets to put the whole thing together! The pictures below give an idea of how its done... glue will be needed to put the windows and door on the house, otherwise everything has a sticky back. I had a lot of fun putting these together, can't wait to see what the kids make out if it!!
