Thank you Katie!

Special thank you to Katie for the beautiful home made scarf for my birthday! I am so impressed with how talented she is with her knitting. I will make sure I show everyone how detailed this scarf is as the picture doesn't do it justice! Keep up the great work Katie!

Cupcake Photoshoot

Today I have been having a blast doing cupcake photoshoots for my blog and new Online store (work in progess). I spent most of the day on this and made only 5 completed cupcakes! Haha... oh well, the pictures are worth it. First time I have spent this much time and had nothing to hand out!

Stuck On The Island!

So we are currently stuck on the Island because of the wind and rain storm. I joined Brian on his work trip to Port Alberni on Monday morning and we were supposed to be home tonight. We got to the ferry about 5:45 only to learn there was no 7pm ferry and we had to wait for the 9pm. We got in the line up feeling quite put out by having to wait over 3 hours... only to find out that after waiting almost an hour, ALL ferries are cancelled going to or from the Island tonight. We got refunded and were told tomorrow mornings ferries are weather dependant! Augh!! At least we got a nice room at the Ramada (brand new, King bed and Jacuzzi tub right in the middle of the room).

Wasn't it almost a year ago I got stuck on the Island due to a snow storm when a few of us made the trek over to meet baby Aaron for the first time??
Wish us luck in getting home tomorrow!

Yes! The tree is up!

This is totally my fault! Brian thought I was crazy but I have been staring at Christmas for a month already at work! (Christmas displays were up well before Halloween) So our tree is up, stockings are hung... it beginning to look at lot like Christmas! I mean, I did finish my Christmas shopping for all the 'kids' weeks ago!

I saved these for how many years?

Mom, Julie and Cali came over for a visit on Saturday... Ever since I was a kid I knew I was going to save my "My Little Ponies" for my future nieces. Saturday was the day... I brought out my Nursery with all the ponies closed up inside so I could surprise Cali with them when she arrived. She was so excited and had alot of fun playing with them. It was really fun to see!

This is Cali eating her very own little ice cream cone for the first time... it was kid sized just for her (Montana's gives 3 of these mini ice cream cones for the kids dessert! Mom and I got the other 2!!!)

Happy Halloween Pumpkin Carving

Happy Halloween Everyone!
On Saturday since our basement suite doesn't allow for trick or treating and we are so far from all the kids, I headed out to Abbotsford to make the rounds! After running with Nadia in the park, I stopped by Aaron and Stephanie's to see Lilah and Declan... then I spent time with Tag and then headed over to the Lehner's to help get ready for Halloween along with Mom.
A video of Nana trying to get Cali to touch the pumpkin guts!

Ready for trick or treating?

I got to paint Cali's face for her bunny costume... she did so good in holding still to let me do it, if she didn't rub her hands on her face before it dried it would have been better... but as Julie said, she isn't even 2 yet... she did awesome!

My Concord, California Adventure!

I had a great time in California with Katie, Ian and Aaron over the past 4 days... thanks again you guys! I did my best to post a bit of everything so once you hit the bottom of the page, make sure you click on 'older posts' to see more as there is alot! Enjoy!

Welcome to Concord!

Flying out of Bellingham with Allegiant was an awesome option for a cheaper flight! Do you see the 3rd plane to the left? We all had to run through the rain to board that plane... you think they would have planned it better!!

I think this was part of the Napa Valley on our flight in to Oakland

To get to Concord I had to take a bus from the Airport to the train station... this was the creepy train transfer platform I had to hang out at in Oakland! Totally old school brick stairwells!

Aaron kept giving me funny looks when I arrived but soon got used to me! This was him before bedtime climbing on my air mattress bed... he kept kind of face planting off the side of it having a blast, it was pretty funny!

Auntie Holly & Aaron's Adventure!

Katie let me baby sit Aaron while she and Ian went off to a football game in the city! Aaron was such a good boy... just a tiny little whimper and 1 tear (look close you can see it!) and then he was good to go! Equipped with a GPS, we drove to the mall and wandered around, I bought him a little outfit at Gymboree and then we went for a drive through Martinez.

Back at the house, Aaron was excited to get his hands on the car keys!

We did some laundry... well, he played, I folded, to help out mommy!

We got the mail from postman 'Carl'... and then we went to go pick up mommy and daddy at the train station! Aaron did so well for his first babysitting experience!

A Tour of Palms

After babysitting Aaron all afternoon I wanted to walk around to take pictures of palm trees and other unusual plants so Katie joined me. This was my absolute favorite Palm Tree... never seen this type before!
I have no idea what this flower is, but I thought mom would like it!

A Tour of Palms

Another palm! They came in all shapes and sizes... so fun!

A prickly pear cactus, it was so neat how it looks like it has little fingers...

This is an Oregon Post Cactus... over 60 years old, the woman who lived there was way to happy to tell us all about it! We never did have a chance to come back and see it bloom unfortunately!
