The BIG '30'

Well, it is official... I am now 30 years old! Normally I would have pictures to post, but I didn't take any as I let the family take care of that! Hopefully they will share with me soon!'

I had the best birthday ever thanks to my family... Katie got the ball rolling months ago and did a really great job of putting things together!

The day started with Bryan making me a yummy breakfast and then I headed to Abbotsford where Mom, Julie, Katie and I had a very memorable lunch at an Irish Pub... anyone want lamb, onions or glass?! We then headed over to the mall where everyone helped pick out some new clothes for me (mom's gift)... no I did not get anything shiny or with puffy sleeves! Next was Julie's house where I got help openning presents from my niece Cali. She sat on my lap and helped pull tissue paper out of the bags even though she had a cold, so cute. I was then rushed out the door so I could get home in enough time to change and get ready to head out to the mystery dinner location with Bryan to meet up with the rest of the family! I was very excited to find out dinner was to be at the revolving restaurant at the Harbor Centre in Vancouver. It was an awesome night, beautiful view, delicious food and great company. All the important people in my life were there (exception of Lilah & Cali). It was the best birthday ever!

Julie & Greg for the cozy new pink and white blanket (that is currently keeping me warm) I love it! How did you know I had been eyeing new blankets lately??

Cali for the super soft pink princess slippers... who would have ever thought I would have to share my 'princess' title? :)

Aaron, Stephanie & Lilah for the wonderful Mac Makeup kit and Starbucks gift card... both of which will be used and loved completely!

Mom for the fun shopping trip and the great new clothes picked out... I can't wait to get my new sweaters and I have already worn the new white hoody... it is soooo comfy!

Elliott for the money which will be put towards the cost of my upcoming payroll course! Also for taking pictures on my special night, thank you... that was quite the treat, I am not used to being the subject of the camera!

Dad & Jeanie for the great gift certificates to Ricki's, Le Chateau and Starbucks (how did you know?!) I can't wait to go shopping. Also for paying for Bryan and my meal tonight, it was a special treat, thank you.

Bryan for being the best boyfriend ever (of course) and for our upcoming brunch in White Rock with shopping trip to follow, I can't wait!! Thank you also for the beautiful flowers!

Special thanks... to Katie for making everything happen even though you are ready to have my very first nephew at any moment. It means alot to me that you would plan such a great night for me. Thank you.

I am sad that Grandma was not around to see her first grandchild turn 30, but I am sure she was watching from some where...

Thank you again to everyone, I truly had a great time today and am so glad to have shared it with such a great family!

Katie's Baby Shower - Nov 16th

We had Katie's baby shower at Julie's house over the weekend... it was great to have everyone there! I brought cupcakes (as I always do!)

Kindra's Baby Shower - Nov 15

I went to Kindra's baby shower for little Alexander (still yet to be born)... Kindra is looking great and the whole family is looking forward to meeting the new baby! Kindra's Auntie Debbie always makes the most amazing cakes!

Bryan is an Uncle!

Bryan's first nephew was born this last thursday... his name is Jack!

Pumpkin Patch

On Friday I went with Julie to her Mommie's Group to the pumpkin patch! Stephanie and Lilah also go to the same group... it was great to get to see my nieces enjoy my favorite time of year!

We will miss you Grandma...

Some very sad news... this past Saturday night, my Grandma passed away. Even though she was quite ill, it still came as a shock. I thought she would be with us forever... Grandma, you are missed and loved by all of us.

I actually had a small amount of free time today... so I went looking for someone's baby shower invitations in Port Moody... the party store was closed, but the cooking store next door was open! Totally great stuff... This is what I love about the city, the cool stores and endless neat things to find!

I love the colors this time of year... just looking off my balcony I get to see the first signs of fall! Can't wait for halloween!

-Dark Brown... got a couple little tiny grey hairs coming in, so I of course pluck them! Luckily I think I will keep my dark hair until at least my 40's like my mom!

-free time to do nothing! Working 2 jobs doesn't allow for much of that!

-I can't remember! Probably something to do with work... I tend to do that when I am a bit stressed!

-current goal... loose 30lbs by 30... I got less than 2 months to go and I am down 10lbs! Can I do it? Haha.. I sure hope so...

-my bedroom... totally comfy in bed with the window open for fresh air (TV on so its not tooooo quiet)

-this is obvious... photography!

-not ever gettin to experience all I want to experience... travel is a big one!

-I hope that Bryan and I will both be doing well enough in our careers to afford us a house (and that Tag is having a great time with us in the back yard - we miss him)

-working my second job... someone called in sick and I was asked to cover... Bryan is out of town, so why not right? Money is always good...

-getting any younger! Did I mention I am going to be 30 in a couple months?!

-having Tag back again... (I know thats on Bryan's wish list too)

-washed my face... its bed time! (looks at the clock) 7:44pm... well, I am working 60 hour weeks!!

-the blue sweat pants Bryan doesn't like and a black short sleeved shirt!

-is usually set to CNN... which is wierd for me, but Bryan has introduced me to politics... never thought I would like it, but I do!

-Tag is staying with Mom and Elliott for the moment! Totally missed by Bryan and I!

-hmmm... kinda sedentary right now...

-Bryan, it sucks that he has to work out of town so often.

-still loving my tiburon! It needs a car wash in the worst way, our underground parking is so dusty! It still has a worbly sound coming from the back wheel... I need to get that fixed!

-socks... I took them off to look at my toe that got cut last night when I dropped a glass plate on the floor!

-I feel like I missed it... finished up my last wedding just a few weeks ago! Busy busy... didnt go anywhere except to visit dad in Kamloops and Katie on the island!

-I laugh every day... last super hard laugh was doing inventory with a girl from work and there was this mushroom (litterally) anyhow, you had to be there!

After a 3rd successful Wedding Season, I think I have finally decided to stop photographing weddings. Although the money is great, the bride & groom's are fun... its a very stressful event! I am going to focus on other things now, but of course, I will still do shoots for friends and family! (a shot from my final wedding on Sept 6, 2008 in Harrison Hotsprings)

Victoria Visit with Katie!

Mom and I headed over to the island yesterday to visit with Katie for the day... It was a long day of travelling, but lots of fun! Katie is starting to look pregnant for sure now, her house looks great, it was really nice to see everything! Just for fun, mom took us to the Butterfly Gardens... it sure was pretty (see below!)

Ok... I saw this and had to laugh... why isnt this my licence plate?! Haha....

Lilah's Photoshoot

We tried a few times to do this photoshoot closer to Lilah's 2nd birthday, but it has been a busy time for me with the moving, weddings and new job! Its neat to see how much Lilah has grown, I was most impressed with her great photographic instincts (I leant her my little camera).

I was supposed to delete this pic but, hey... you know me, I like to keep my pics! We went to Jekyll & Hyde the Musical last night at the Massey Theatre... Ticket Master offered the tickets at 2 for 1, so why not? A night at the theatre for $30!

Dad and Greg both entered their cars in the Kamloops, Hot Nights Car Show. Greg won some money on the poker run the first day! He said it paid for his gas to get the car there!!
