Herald Prov Park and driving through the Rockies

Our campsite at Herald Provincial Park. I think we got one of the last spots available... this was a great site and totally worth going back to.

I regret like crazy that I didn't go for a swim when I had the chance here in Salmon Arm. The water was so warm and clear.

Confusing sign.... guess someone else felt the same and that's why it was knocked over!

The drive through the rockies was very pretty....

Looking back at the rockies as we headed into Calgary (I took this from the sunroof)

Road Trip Day 3

We drove from Salmon Arm to Calgary today which pretty much took the WHOLE day. We are taking advantage of our first free hotel night and ended up with the Jacuzzi Suite, I am definitely jumping in that tub after dinner!
The Shushwap Lake in Salmon Arm is definitely worth going back for, it was amazing, the water was so warm! If we had more time, I would have jumped in for a swim.
Banff was pretty, I had been there before, it was just toooo touristy. We just got out for a bathroom break, stretch out the legs, Starbucks and on the road again!

Off to see the dinos tomorrow!!!!

Road Trip Day 2

After hanging out in Kelowna and going to auntie Diane's very nice memorial... We headed towards Revelstoke and didn't quite make it that far! Camping in Salmon Arm tonight!

The Start of our Road Trip and Auntie Diane's Celebration of Life

Brian and I started our road trip yesterday by heading up to Kelowna with the rest of the family for a camp out in Aunt Bettina and Uncle Donald's back yard for Auntie Diane's Celebration of life today.
The kids at a rare quiet time with the coloring books!

Katie and Olivia made the trip out from California for the memorial

Auntie Diane's Celebration of life was beautiful... on the beach at the Truswell House and catered

Sophie was a good baby, all smiles!

Annette and Rick came to show their support to Mom which was really special

The mark on my shirt is because I dumped wine on myself while taking pictures of other people! Classy...

Harvesting Peas

My Jungle of a Garden... time to get the peas out of there and cut back the squash and pumpkins
My peas!
I actually had some help from Brian taking the peas out of the pods! I think I was looking tired...
After 3 hours of harvesting, taking peas out of pods, etc I ended up with about 3.5 cups of peas!! Man, was that even worth it? Haha...
